About the Institution
The Nehru memorial Education Society was established as early as 1964 under the prestigious leadership of late Sri C K Nair, to commemorate the celebrated first prime minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru. The society undertook the challenging task of installing the Nehru Arts and Science College, Kanhangad, with the noble ideal of imparting higher education in an otherwise backward area of Kasaragod district. The college started functioning in 1968 in humble circumstances, with barely three Pre-degree batches in science & Arts affiliated to Calicut University. That was indeed a small beginning of a great and glorious center of learning.
We recognized by Government of Kerala offers under graduate programes in B Com (Co-operation ), B Com (Finance), BBA, BA (English) to cater the specific academic requirement of student community of Kasaragod and neighboring districts. The institution strives to run on no-profit no loss basis with out compromising equity, justice and quality of higher education.
